The Arizona Families for Home Education is holding the 31st annual Arizona Home Education Convention and Curriculum Fair July 11th and 12th. The convention will feature many different speakers and workshops that are available for a small price. The goal of the convention is to teach practical ideas and insights that will allow parents to nurture, develop, teach, and discipline their child through the homeschooling system.
On July 10th, the day before the convention starts, there will be a Considering Homeschooling workshop from 2:30 to 5:30. This free mini conference is for anyone who is considering homeschooling for his or her child. There are three sessions to the conference, getting started, understanding education, and evaluating curriculum choices, to help parents understand all that is involved in the homeschooling process.
For those who are already enjoying homeschooling, but still want to experience everything the convention has to offer, come a day early to the Writing to Publish seminar. This three-hour seminar is hosted by author Carol Barnier, and will teach participants the basics of how to get your work published.
