As winter break comes to an end, your college students are about to head back to campus. Make sure the journey back to school goes smoothly with these safety tips!
Travel.
Whether flying or driving, your student is likely going to have to travel back to school. Make sure that they have smooth travels!
- Leave early. Allow plenty of travel time to be back at school on time. Everyone will be heading back to school at the same time, so make sure your child leaves plenty of time to accommodate traffic and delays.
- Be prepared. Sometimes our travels don’t go according to plan. Bring plenty of snacks and water, and if driving, keep an emergency kit in your car!
- Be wary of winter weather. Winter weather causes hazardous travel conditions, so be prepared to drive slowly and bring your snow chains just in case!
Health.
It’s flu season! Make sure your college student stays healthy through the new semester.
- Sanitize! At school, you’re surrounded by lots of other people. Plus, close quarters means there’s an increased possibility of getting sick. Make sure to send your student back with plenty of hand sanitizer.
- Sleep. Suggest that your child gets plenty of sleep. The more sleep you get, the better prepared your body is for fighting germs!
Living.
