Arizona Balloon Classic
The balloons are back! The 4th Annual Arizona Balloon Classic is taking place January 23rd through the 25th at the West Valley’s Fear Farm Sports Complex in Phoenix. Make sure to bring the whole family out to enjoy all of the beauty and excitement that this January event has to offer.
Each year, the three-day long balloon festival attracts thousands of people to the area to enjoy morning balloon launches and landings, early evening balloon glows, and the traditional hot air balloon race, The Hair and Hound. Along with all of the exciting balloon activities, the event will also feature delicious food, music, arts and crafts, and fireworks.
Each day of the event starts at 7 a.m. and is full of activities that are fun for people of all ages. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate. The Hare and Hound races take place on all three days of the event between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Hare balloons place a target where they land, and the Hound balloons toss a small beanbag at the target, and whoever gets the closest to the center wins!
If you have ever wanted to enjoy a hot air balloon ride, this event is the perfect opportunity. You can also enjoy a short balloon ride on Friday and Saturday nights. The balloons stay tethered to the ground so you do not have to worry about flying too high.
